Sometimes random ideas pop into my head very vividly, like a rabbit lamp. Then I have to figure out how to make them come to life, otherwise they keep haunting me. After Easter, I got a reduced-price bunny decoration,  chopped its head off and replaced it with a bulb. I was amazed by how destruction could turn a kitsch object into something quirky yet sophisticated. It reminded me of the Japanese Kintsugi. In retrospect, I realised my Easter bunny has literally died and been resuscitated, which was quite funny. Since then I've developed the habit of constantly looking for slaughter-worthy objects and this has become a ongoing project of up-cycling.
