These were my entries to the "red frame" design competition, held by a construction company which was building new apartments on a hill in the suburbs of Regensburg. The requirement was to use the provided red frame on-site as a design element. Since Regensburg has rich history, I interpreted the frames as the window to the past. I painted imaginary historical scenes from different periods on jalousies, aligned with the real horizon. The visitors could compare "the past" and the present by opening and closing the jalousies.
