"Materialists" is a concept for a crowdsourcing insiders' guide and an exchange platform, where creatives who work with physical materials can find local accesses to raw materials, from regular dealers or factories to workshops which produced waste during their process'. Since this kind of information is not usually provided by these suppliers, and it costs a lot of time and efforts for an individual to gather the information. We believed this could be done more efficiently by a community, so that time and money could be invested in the actual creative works. For the stakeholders, this service could reduce their waste disposal cost. It's good for the environment as materials are used up, not only through reducing waste but also exploitation. It's therefore a triple-win situation.
For the promotional posters, we collected spared materials in the workshop at university to make a collage of fantastic creatures.
